Sustainability is a fundamental pillar in Metrovacesa. From top management, we promote a firm commitment to continuous improvement and the integration of environmental, social and good governance criteria in all areas of the business.
This commitment, shared by the entire organization, begins with the Board of Directors, the highest governing body responsible for overseeing sustainability. The Appointments, Compensation and Sustainability Committee leads the supervision of compliance with environmental and social policies and objectives, aligned with the corporate strategy. Likewise, the Audit and Control Committee oversees the adequate supervision and verification of the process of preparing non-financial information. .

Alliances that reinforce our positioning
Metrovacesa actively participates in benchmark initiatives in corporate sustainability, such as the United Nations Global Compact, the largest global commitment in this area. Through this adhesion, we align our activity with its Ten Principles on human rights, labor standards, environment and anti-corruption, contributing to the fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals.
In 2021, the company joined the Green Building Council España (GBCE), a benchmark organization in sustainable building and a member of the World Green Building Council (WorldGBC) international network. This participation reinforces our commitment to a more efficient and responsible urban planning and building, aligned with the environmental and social challenges of the sector.
